We are a group of personal trainers that have seen fitness transform not just bodies, but mindsets, emotional states and overall quality of life. We, along with so many others, have witnessed substance misuse, mental illness, PTSD, and domestic violence take away the rights, love, and respect each person should have for their own well-being. The 4George program is dedicated to helping recover a relationship between body and mind, and reconnect what has been lost or compromised through trauma. It is our goal to make recovery through fitness available to the people who need it most by providing open workouts and connection meetings where people feel safe to share their stories, ask for help, and simply connect over issues that have in one way or another affected us all. We believe that #connectionisacure, and that the end of separation is where recovery begins.
Our program is about bringing to light the issue at heart, and developing a love for oneself that can only be found by cultivating a bond between mind and body; a connection that often starts in the gym.
We come to you. 4George provides free, open workouts that can be tailored and modified to any demographic. Led by experienced fitness trainers that have worked with a wide range of clients; some with extensive exercise histories and others who have never stepped foot inside a gym, these workouts are centered around one key concept: getting stronger, together.
We support you. 4George donors will have the ability to sponsor gym memberships to eligible applicants and participants of the 4George program. For more information on this, please contact us.
Stay Connected. We will provide connection meetings following the workouts to serve an open source of sharing, healing, and a place of connection.
Grow Together. As part of a working curriculum for 4George participants, we will be teaching “connection” skills such as goal setting, creating and implementing self check-in systems, and more. This process will be dedicated to bridging the gap from healed to whole. Implementation of important health, fitness, and lifestyle skills are vitally important to staying connected.
